About Experts Panel Seminars

Experts Panel Seminar Overview

This in-person Experts Panel brings together legal and condominium management professionals to explore practical decision points in chargebacks, arrears, liens, and collections.

Together, they will contribute perspectives on legal requirements, management practices, governance, risk, and the challenges of communicating with owners. The discussion will include a guided panel conversation and an open-floor audience Q&A.

You’ll Explore:

  • How bylaws, authority, and documentation shape chargeback and collection decisions.
  • Common mistakes, practical considerations, and escalation or enforcement options.
  • Ways to approach disputed amounts and difficult owner conversations fairly and effectively.

Come prepared with questions and leave with a clearer understanding of the issues to assess—and when professional advice may be needed.

Why Attend?

This session goes beyond the mechanics of collecting an overdue amount. It is an opportunity to learn from real-world experiences, compare management and legal perspectives, and consider how early decisions affect risk, cost, and owner relationships.

You’ll gain insights into how to:

  • Recognize the differences among chargebacks, contribution arrears, liens, and collection pathways.
  • Document issues, spot procedural pitfalls, and understand when escalation requires additional care.
  • Communicate clearly and compassionately while protecting the corporation’s interests.

Whether you are a board director or a condominium manager, this discussion will help you ask better questions, identify risks earlier, and make more informed decisions.

Session Format

This is an afternoon session - you can expect light refreshments (coffee/tea/juice) and snacks.

The seminar begins with a panel discussion, where panelists will offer their unique perspective on capital projects and attendees can have their questions answered during the open Q&A.
